Introduction: Grade 3 (G3) gastroenteropancreatic (GEP) neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) are rare diseases with a poor prognosis. FOLFIRINEC is a multicenter comparative phase II study of mFOLFIRINOX vs platinum-etoposide (PE) as first line treatment for metastatic G3 NEC of GEP or unknown origin.

Introduction: NETs are considered as a rare cancer. Because of the complexity and the different disciplines involved, a multidisciplinary approach is desirable. The referral to centres of expertise (CoE) is indicated as the optimal strategy for effective management.

Introduction: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are rare, slow-growing neoplasia with variable clinical presentations. Due to their non-specific symptoms and a lack of diagnostic tools, late diagnosis is common. There is little research relating to NETs as experienced by both patients and family carers.
